TLIC3036 Apply Safe Car Driving Behaviours

About the course

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required for higher-order safe driving. This unit applies to drivers required to apply safe driving behaviours.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal pre-requisites required to enter this course and undertake the unit of competency.

Duration

The course will be delivered over one full day. This includes:

• Learning Hours = 3 hours

• Assessment hours = 2 hours

• Practical demonstrations and participant practice = 2 hours

• Breaks / Lunch = 1 hour

• Total hours = 8 hours

After completing the full day course, participants will be required to provide evidence of 50 hrs driving practice authenticated by their supervisor.

It should be noted that whilst this is an 8 hour training day, it may run over this time due to unforeseen circumstances.

Delivery Mode and Assessment

The course is delivered face-to-face and includes; theory incorporating power point slides, industry handouts, practical training and formal assessment.

The course is made up of 1 unit of competency. Upon satisfactory course completion, a statement of attainment (SOA) will be awarded.

Pathways

Pathways from the Unit of Competency: Achieving competency in TLIC3036, is a pathway for gaining a TLI41216 Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – car driving instructions) or elective as part of other formal training.
