Med Rescue Training (MRT) mission is to provide quality education using both technology and the use of industry experienced practitioners.

The information provided in this brief is accurate and current; however, changes may occur. MRT reserves the right to make changes in regulations, policies, procedures and other matters as necessary without prior notice.
Changes to terms and conditions
MRT reserves the right to amend the conditions of the student’s enrolment at any time. If amendments are made that affect the student’s enrolment the student will be informed seven (7) days prior to changes taking effect.
For all the MRT driving courses you are required to be a holder of a current Driver’s Licence and must produce this Licence on commencement of training for your course.
As a student with MRT you are required to provide a USI (Unique Student Identifier) which can be obtained by visiting the website www.usi.gov.au. Your USI links to an online account that contains all your training records and results (transcript) that you have completed from 1 January 2015 onwards.
It is advisable to have a reasonable level of fitness to join in the training as it requires you to get in and out of vehicles throughout the day. If there are any pre-existing medical conditions and/or you are taking any medication which may affect your ability to drive in a safe manner, you are required to notify the MRT head office prior to the commencement of training of the course. (A medical certificate maybe required for approval before commencing your course).
All students must wear fully enclosed shoes such as runners or work boots and (no thongs or open sandals) it is also advisable to include a suitable clothing such as hat, sunscreen and eye protection (sunglasses) as the courses are held outside.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS
The course(s) run at this RTO are assessed as competency based, students will be assessed on each competency and must be able to demonstrate competence in the tasks performed to complete the course(s) being undertaken.
Assessment
At MRT assessment is conducted using a combination of written knowledge assessment, short answer, quiz and practical activity such as role plays.
Re-assessment
Participants who are assessed as not yet competent are to be provided with detailed verbal and written feedback to assist them to identify the gaps in their knowledge and skills to be addressed through further training. These participants are to be provided with additional training and learning support to target their specific gaps in knowledge and/or skills and prepare them for additional assessment.
Issuing Statements of Attainment
MRT will issue all AQF certification documentation (Statements of Attainment) to a participant within 30 calendar days of the participant being assessed as meeting the requirements of the training product if the training program in which the participant is enrolled is complete, and providing all agreed fees owed to MRT have been paid. Be aware, the RTO will not advance any statement of attainment for any reasons under any circumstances. This is a direct breach of clause 3.1 of the standards.
Vehicle / mechanical breakdowns
MRT is not responsible for students’ vehicles and will not be liable for any mechanical breakdown incurred by these vehicles.
Students are responsible for safeguarding their vehicles throughout the course and that they are registered and in a safe roadworthy condition.
As part of enrolment students are required to fill in the “Client Provided Vehicle Suitability Checklist”. This checklist form is in the enrolment section of the website.
The checklist is to be used to ensure that vehicles provided for use during delivery of accredited training courses are suitable and fit for purpose. These are the minimum standards required and apply to all classes of vehicles.
Pre-course requirement (Administration Officer)
Evidence of current vehicle registration and insurance are to be provided by the client at the time of booking.
If there is a change to the vehicle to be used by the client as advised by the client on the day of training registration, insurance evidence will need to be updated before training commences.
Course delivery day requirement (Trainer)
The trainer is to visually and physically check applicable items below and certify the vehicle is suitable for training.
CANCELLATION
Due to the nature of the training offered by MRT, cancellations must be received by our Administration Department at least five (5) working days prior to commencement of any courses.
MRT reserves the right to cancel any course due to adverse weather conditions on the morning of the course for student and trainer safety. In these circumstances the student will have the options to enrol for a future course, or be refunded any monies paid.
